When you get to this point, where it feels too hard, it’s your scheduled time to do some self-reflection, some self-maintenance. When you’ve decided to make a major life-change, you can throw all thoughts of chance or coincidence out the window. These things happen for a reason…and it’s not a bad one.
Initiating a transformation in your life’s journey sends a big loud message to the universe that says “I’m ready! Show me everything I need to change about myself to meet my goals!” Guess how that prayer gets answered – things get ugly. Man is unique among all creation because of our power of choice. In order to honor that power in us, God does not answer prayers (spoken or unspoken) by simply changing who we are. That would be a violation. Instead, he gives us opportunities, challenges, to exercise a new choice. He’s going to arrange circumstances to bring us face to face with our bad habits, our insecurities, our limiting beliefs.
